2025
A speculative glimpse into the future workplace, presented in the form of a short film commissioned by A house.
"Remote work offers many benefits but often comes at the expense of connection between colleagues. In the future, virtual technology could enable interactions once deemed impossible in professional settings.
A virtual space without lasting physical consequences allows for actions without limitations. By expressing strong emotions, a sense of relief and clarity can be achieved—a process known as catharsis."
Katarsis was directed, written, and produced by Jonatan Modin, Emilia Lind, and Sofia Di Marco, and made possible with support from Rockson, Sellpy, and Nyfosa.
(The Little Conscience), 2024
The result of a interdisciplinary collaboration between researchers at the Beijer Institute, Svenskt Tenn, and Beckmans College of Design.
The Beijer Institute has conducted immense research on the risks and opportunities associated with artificial intelligence, and the goal of this project was to find new ways convey this knowledge both intellectually and emotionally, through visual communication.
We did this by imagining a future where artificial intelligence is given a place inside of the human intellect. In such an amalgam of intelligence, we think that AI could save the flawed human from acting unsustainably and selfishly. Like Jiminy Cricket, the AI would take on the role of a conscience. But unlike the little cricket, this new conscience is not something you can simply wave away. Instead it is super strong, and impossible to betray.
Lilla Samvetet was made in collaboration with Elvin Odelholm.
2024
An AI powered digital experience developed at Random Studio's Living Lab, and showcased at Us by Night 2024.
“Let’s Pollinate” challenges the isolating nature of digital spaces, using a simple interface and some generative tech to instead bring people together in the real world. Each participant receives a unique digital plant and is invited to cross-pollinate with others, with each interaction resulting in increasingly surreal additions to the communal garden.
As Random Studio’s research arm, and under the creative direction of Roel Wouters, the Living Lab explores new ways to interact with spaces and technology. Let’s Pollinate was created in collaboration with Jessica Kürscher, Hector Albiges, and Stephen Buchanan, and accompanied by a printed zine.
2021
A campaign film for Sellpy, Europe’s fastest growing second-hand e-com, showing exactly how much better it is to choose pre-owned over new.
Sellpy crunched the numbers and found that their garments are, on average, 21 times better for the planet than buying new. To bring this insight to life, they launched their biggest campaign yet — a film where a choreographed protagonist cycles through 21 different garments at mind-bending speed, until the unexpected finale reveals one simple trick…
Directed by Nim Kyong Ran, produced by PINE, and developed by the Sellpy Creative Dept.
2023
An experimental light installation using 3D scanning, projection mapping, and papier-mâché to give the illusion of changing materialities.
In the Sound&Visions project, design students at Beckmans College of Design collaborate with music students at the Royal College of Music to create moving light installations based on musical works.
Adam Arinbjarnarson, Måns Horning, and I created a simple sculpture depicting a mountain. By photogrammetrically scanning the sculpture, illuminating and rendering it digitally, and then projecting the graphics back onto the sculpture, we were able to create the illusion that the sculpture changes over time.
Music by Erasmus Talbot.
(Public Playground), 2023
A video created in the course “Konst Reklam Konst”, acting as a playful intervention that reimagines construction sites as part of the public space.
Construction sites represent a constant occupation of the city, carried out by a vague and faceless authority. “Allmän Lekplats” explores what happens when we challenge this illegitimate takeover and reclaim these spaces for the people who actually live around them.
What if, instead of fences, we build catapults? Or turn scaffolding into an obstacle course? Could a worksite become a place to make music?
The objects were modeled and simulated in Cinema 4D, then composited into real-world footage using camera tracking. Project supervised by Anneé Olofsson.
I’m a designer and art director, graduating from Beckmans College of Design in 2025. Upon reviewing my projects you might notice that I like to work in the intersection of design and technology. I have (among other things) designed and developed a game exhibited at the National Museum of Science and Technology, mapped projections onto sculptures together with the Royal College of Music, coded a site that deletes your instagram account, and have through this explored some of the things that interest me in visual media.
I’ve also been a part of the small and agile creative department at the circular e-commerce Sellpy. In my role as Junior Art Director I was involved in campaigns such as Change for the better, The real cost of Black Friday, the total revamp of the Sellpy brand, among many others.
